The business was established in 1986 under the name Jaydee Autotech. Jaydee Autotech was a consulting business that concentrated on leading edge racing car engine development, suspension modifications and fuel injection design for the motor industry.
In the early 1990’s Jaydee Autotech designed a self tuning engine management system for all fuel types. This design project lead on to wind tunnel testing and guest lecturing in the Mechanical Engineering department at RMIT.
With Jeff’s knowledge and experience racing off-road motorcycles, the business soon became involved in the Off-road motorcycle industry. In 1998 Jaydee Autotech manufactured and raced a 280cc off-road motorcycle based on a KTM. This motorcycle incorporated state of the art
engine design, significant leading-edge suspension modifications, and unique carbon fibre panels. To complement this project Jaydee Autotech established a KTM used parts recycling business.
In 1999, Jaydee Autotech concentrated on Jaydee Motorcycles and focused its efforts on the off-road motorcycle business.
The Jaydee workshop is a professional operation specialising in suspension modifications to suit the individual rider and motorcycle, and engine work of the ultimate standard.
We use a 500Bhp Dynojet Dyno to aid the development of motorcycle engines for optimum performance and test tracks to test motorcycles in true off-road conditions for Cross Country, Enduro and trail riding conditions.
We
also design and manufacture specialist parts for off-road motorcycles that are suited to Australian conditions.
From 2006 the Ariel Atom project began, and has occupied a greater percentage of our time. Development focus shifted to maximising the cars performance to suit our Australian conditions.
In 2009 the Quantum car design began.
